A Note From Our Founder

Celebrating One Year of Creating Together

As we mark the first anniversary of the Saratoga Joinery, I'm filled with gratitude for what our community has built together. From our first open house to today's thriving workshop, it's been incredible seeing the Joinery come to life - watching members create beautiful projects, learn new skills, and share their knowledge and passion.

This year brought so many memorable moments: open houses, project classes (people love cutting boards!), our Santa's Workshop holiday event, community projects building porch lattice and park benches, corporate team building events, and even grounds clean-up days - there is always such enthusiasm and positive energy. For me, nothing beats coming into the shop, hearing machines buzzing, smelling fresh wood, and seeing people busy creating.

None of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers who ensure everyone stays safe, share their expertise, and maintain our shop and equipment, and provide ideas and consult. I'm deeply grateful for the community support that helps us continue this journey.

Thank you to our first-year members, class participants, and supporters. Come by to help mark this milestone, and perhaps plan your next project! If you haven't visited yet, stop by and say hello—we'd love to show you around, and hopefully have you join us for our second year!

With appreciation,

John
